The contract dispute between Disney and DirecTV echoes a similar outage last year on Spectrum TV. Though last year's dispute was mostly about licensing prices, this year's disagreement seems to run a bit deeper.
Disney channels are no longer available on both DISH TV & Sling TV – impacting millions of US customers. The channels effected include ESPN, FX, Disney Channel, Freeform and National Geographic, as well as ABC local stations. ABC stations impacted by Disney's blackout include: Chicago, IL (WLS), Fresno, CA (KFSN), Houston, TX (KTRK), Los Angeles, CA (KABC), New York, NY (WABC), Philadelphia, PA (WPVI), Raleigh, NC (WTVD) and San Francisco, CA (KGO).
